About the Event
Staff who work with sex offenders recognize the potential horrific consequence of failure. Many struggle with evidence-based practices which often seem to conflict with accepted practices. This session will challenge and bring to light some of our current practices that have minimal impact or may even increase the chances of recidivism.
At the conclusion of the session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the current risk of sex offenders and their recidivism rates.
- List current practices that are not supported by the research.
- List promising practices that are supported by the research.
- Describe the comprehensive model.
